2016 Fall Festival Chili Cook Off

Wanted: Your Best Bowl of Chili
Reward: One Year of Respect. Gift card for overall winner. Trophy for 1st place winner in each category.

When: Saturday, 10/22/2016 @ 6:00 pm-7:30 pm during the Fall Festival
Judging: Popular Vote by Taste Test
Entry Deadline: Return entry form by Thursday, 10/20/2016

Instructions

• Select one of the three categories : International, Texas or Vegetarian
• Team may consist of any group or combination of students, friends, families, teachers, or staff.
• Please provide all names on entry form.
• Cooking to be completed at home. Power outlets available to keep slow cooker warn.
• McCall PTA will provide tasting cups, spoons, napkins, and ballots.

Chili Cook Off Rules

1. All chili must be prepared and completed at home.
2. All chili should be brought to school in a slow cooker along with an ingredient list and serving utensil.
3. Each participant must produce one large slow cooker of the chili of their choice.
4. Each participant must supply all toppings and sides that go with their chili. 
5. McCall PTA will provide cups and spoons to the general public so they can sample the chili entries.
6. All chili entries must be brought to school and tables decorated (if applicable) by 5:30 pm.
7. Each chili entry will be judged in one of three categories: International, Texas or Vegetarian
8. Each chili entry will be assigned a letter and judging will be accomplished through a blind-taste test.
9. Each participant will place a sample of their chili in the provided Styrofoam cup for each guests.
10. Winners by popular vote at the Fall Festival.
11. Prizes will be awarded for 1st place in each category, as well as a popular favorite.
12. Winners will be announced at approximately 7:30 pm and prizes awarded. 
13. Each participant is responsible for clean-up of their space at the end of the cook-off.
