School & Community ProgramsThe learning journey for so many of us starts at school. It was no different for us! TCC coaches have experience teaching chess programs at schools all around the DFW metroplex. Most programs are held after-school, but before-school and elective courses are also options.

What we do is have an experienced chess coach come to your school on any of the day(s) you prefer. Typically, classes last around an hour with 20-25 minutes of teaching with a chess curriculum designed for kids followed by 25-30 minutes of open playtime. We can host registration through our website for parents to sign up their students or the School/PTA can have the students register through them

Who We Are

​The Texas Chess Center (TCC) opened in January of 2022. We specialize in providing chess instruction and tournament play for all ages and experiences. Our coaches consider chess an art, and value teaching chess as a significant part of a child development and keeping adult minds sharp. We offer Group Chess Classes, Tournaments, Private Lessons, Spring and Summer Camps, Resources, Event Hosting, and School Programs.
