5th Grade Graduation
When: June
5th grade graduation is a special day to celebrate our graduating 5th grade class. The fifth grade class ends their year with a PTA sponsored graduation ceremony and graduation lunch. During the graduation ceremony the students receive diplomas and trophies to celebrate their accomplishment. The students perform musical numbers, read poems, and present a slide show of their year. After the event, families are invited to visit and take photos at the photo stations and join their students for lunch. The PTA helps decorate the graduation event and provides the students and parents with a graduation lunch on their special day.
If you are interested in coordinating this memoriable occasion, please contact volunteers@mccallpta.org. Volunteers are needed to script the 5th grade entertainment and rehearse with the students. We also need volunteers to decorate and coordinate the graduation ceremony.

Cafeteria Cops is program aimed to give children a positive attitude towards law enforcement. Members of the Plano Crime Prevention Unit serve lunch to the students and build trust with our children. The program is focused on breaking down barriers to communication and building a positive relationship early on so that when children need help they know exactly where to go and are not afraid of uniformed officers.

McCall PTA sponsors the inflatable obstacle course for field day. Field day is held in May. Check our calendar for the specific date and the rain day. Please make sure that your child wears sunscreen, and packs a complete change of clothes for when the fun day is over with. Hats are allowed and encouraged!

Muffin with Moms

Muffins with Moms is a community building event where we invite moms and their child to join us for muffins and refreshments. We celebrate all the dedicated moms and their involvement in their child's education. You will learn about how you can get involved in your child's education experience.

Multicultural Week

Multicultural Week at McCall is held on or around United Nations Day with a goal of making the McCall student body more aware of the many cultures and ethnic diversity of our school and the community. It is a time to celebrate and educate diversity through tradition, heritage, costume, and food.

Multicultural night is held on the Friday evening of Multicultural week. Check our calendar for the specific date. Parents, friends, and community members are invited to McCall to take part in our food sampling from different cultures while enjoying entertainment and student artwork. Red Ribbon Week is the nation’s oldest and largest drug prevention awareness program and generally takes place the last full week in October. Each day during Red Ribbon Week, we encourage the students to participate in the activity (such as Hugs not Drugs - bring a small cuddly stuffed animal to school). Stay tuned for this school year's Red Ribbon Week Activities.

Reflections
REFLECTIONS is a national PTA program that encourages millions of students to express themselves by giving positive recognition for their artistic efforts. Students in preschool through Grade 12 may create and submit works of art in 6 categories:

School Supplies
When: Spring through the Last Day of School
McCall PTA coordinates the school supply kits with the vendor. School supply kits are offered as a convenience to parents. The vendor typically closes school supply kit orders on the last day of school. Plan ahead and order your school supply kit(s) when the announcement comes out.

Teacher Appreciation Week

Teacher Appreciation week is when the McCall PTA, students, and parents honor our teachers at McCall. We want to show our gratitude and thanks for everything our teachers do from preparing lessons, teaching, encouraging our children, bringing joy and excitement to the classroom, and much more!
McCall PTA helps the students participate in teacher appreciation week by providing daily activities (anywhere from bringing your teacher's favorite flower to wearing your teacher's favorite color) each day of the week. Stay tuned for details for this year's activities!
During teacher appreciation week, McCall PTA sponsors special treats for our teachers. During this time, we may request specific food donations. If you are interested in assisting with teacher appreciation week, please contact hospitality@mccallpta.org.

Watch D.O.G.S. promotes father involvement by providing male role models, enhancing security, and reducing bullying. You will spend the day with the students at McCall, assisting in class, playing games with the children, and providing a positive role model. This program is extremely popular with the students. They are all eager to spend time with the Watch D.O.G.S. What are you waiting for? Sign up today! (IMPORTANT: Before you can volunteer, you must have completed the PISD Volunteer Application. This is to be done every year.)
