So, how do you get involved? Follow the few easy steps below to sign up :

• Username and Password: Please contect Watch D.O.G.S. coordinator at watchdogs@mccallpta.org
• Select the day you wish to volunteer
• Add your name, email address, phone number, and your children’s names, grade levels, and teachers.

IMPORTANT: Before you can volunteer, you must have completed the PISD Volunteer Application.

Painless Race For Recess - 1st Contest Deadline is in 2 weeks (10/14/2016)! 
​Don't wait til the last minute! Send in your painless items with your child or to the front office now!

We hold contests throughout the year for the class bringing in the most contest items. The winning class will earn an extra recess period! We have a traveling Box Tops Trophy which is awarded to the leading class for that week. The progress is shown on a bulletin board with a horse race. 

Simply send in Box Tops, Labels for Education, Coke Rewards codes, Tyson Project A+, and Community Coffee Cash in a baggie or envelope labeled with your child's name, teacher, and grade.

Be a part of diverting thousands of pounds of shoes and clothing from local landfills by filling our shoes and clothing donation bin with your gently used shoes, clothing, purses, belts, wallets, hats, caps, backpacks, hard toys, stuffed animals and pots and pans.

​For every pound collected from you, McCall PTA receives $0.15 per pound. The benefit to you? Neater closets, drawers, toy boxes, and kitchens, and the knowledge that less textile waste will end up in our local landfills.

World Wear Project is a professional clothing collection company based in Dallas, Texas. Their efforts to keep millions of pounds of textiles from our landfills every year help our cities and counties by lowering their landfill space needs. Best of all, McCall PTA receives 15 cents for every pound of donated items!

How to Participate:

• Simply bring in any of the acceptable items listed below and deposit in the collection box located in the rear parking lot of the school. Special Note: Please do not leave items on the ground outside the bins to maintain the integrity of our school property.
• ​Items Accepted: Clothing, Shoes, Belts, Purses, Wallets, Hats, Caps, Backpacks, Hard Toys, Stuffed Animals, Pots and Pans
• Items Not Accepted : Furniture of any kind, Knives, Kitchen appliances, Appliances with cords, Items made of glass

Fall Festival/Fun Run Planning Meeting

We are needing parent volunteers to help organizing the Fall festival/Fun Run that will take place on October 22nd, 2016. If you are interested in helping to plan this fun family event, please come join us at Timberbrook Park on Friday at 3:30 pm.

Smile Design Dental, our Colt Champion, is giving 5% to McCall PTA for any family that visits their dental office and mentions McCall Elementary PTA.

Reflect on the Theme, Create and Original Work, Be Recognized!

• Entries are due Monday, October 17th, 2016
• You can have an entry in one or more arts categories.
• There is NO limit to the number of entries you can submit in a single category!
• Guidelines and entry forms are available here and at the school's front office.
• Students can drop off their entries in the collection bin in Mrs. Quinn's art room.
• Winning entries will be on display in the school hallway December 5-8, 2016
• School level winning entries may qualify for the district level judging.
• The student OR at least one person from the primary household MUST be a McCall PTA member in order to advance to the district level judging.

The first 10 students to submit a Reflections entry will receive a goody bag! So hurry and be creative!

For the 2016-2017 school year McCall PTA have been asked to help find volunteers for our Kinder kids during lunch time. We need volunteers to help them stay focused during lunch, open lunch packages and get them in and out of the lunch room in a timely fashion.

• We need 3 parents everyday starting on August 29th, 2016, the 2nd week of school.
• Our Kindergartners get 30 minutes for lunch from 11:40 am - 12:10 pm
• All volunteers are required to complete PISD Volunteer Application online. Please do so BEFORE you come for lunch room help. Approval may take a few days, so please do it early.
• Please arrive a few minutes before 11:40 am to have your volunteer badge printed from the office. Kinder kids arrive at the lunch room at 11:40 am.
