McCall is having its 1st Spirit Night with the Texas Legends on Saturday, January 10th, 2015 @ 7 pm.

As a special treat, our kids are invited to sing "My Country, 'Tis of Thee" at the halftime show as part of the Military night tribute. If you would like your child to participate in the choir, please complete and return this form to your child's teacher by this Friday, December 12th.

Ticket Prices:

Admission tickets : $12.50 each
Food vouchers (includes hot dog, chips, and a drink) : $8.00 (optional)

The Texas Legends are an American professional basketball team based in Frisco, Texas. They play in the Central Division in the NBA Development League (NBA D-League), a minor league basketball organization owned and run by theNational Basketball Association (NBA).

After School Program - Young Rembrandts : Drawing Classes for Kids

Inspire your child's love of art with Young Rembrandts. Lessons like our Lego-inspired mini-fig face drawing will teach about portraits in a fun way. Our detailed scorpion will provide plenty of fun, artistic challenges. Our cubism sailor will help us learn about a style of art made famous by Pablo Picasso. Make this a memorable winter for learning and fun. Enroll today!

Young Rembrandts provides all classroom supplies and a trained instructor. Classes are held immediately after school. Parents are responsible for transportation at class end unless child attends PASAR.

McCall is celebrating our students' success Friday, 12/19/2014 @ 8:30 am at our Spirit Assembly. A spirit assembly is when our entire school gathers, we play music, each grade level says a chant about their grade, and we recognize students for their hard work. Our assembly is a fun time and parents are invited to attend and join in the celebration.

Boy Scouts After School Program will be holding its 1st meeting this Wednesday, 12/10/2014 at 3 p.m in the school cafeteria.

If you have a male child from 1st - 5th grade, please consider joining this great organization here on campus.There is no cost for the uniform or any other sponsored activities during the year. This is a great way for your child to learn life long skills and make new McCall friends!

Applications were sent home last week and should be returned to your child's teacher.

Winter Write-A-Check Campaign

What does Write-A-Check campaign do?
The Write A Check Campaign is a simple and effective fundraiser that allows for a number of our enriching student programs, field trips, movie night, multicultural night, teacher class materials, PE equipment, teacher appreciation week to take place. Just to name a few… Your contribution is 100% tax deductible and 100% goes to benefit our children! This campaign is one of the ways our wonderful parents help make each student’s Colt experience unique and memorable. One more important thing to remember is that if we make enough money doing this campaign we would not need to have as many traditional fundraisers throughout the school year.

How Much Are We Hoping to Raise?
McCall PTA spent approximately $85 per child for the 2013-2014 school year. While we are asking for the donation amount of $50 per child, no donation is too big or too small. If your employer matches donations to non-profit organizations, please ask them to participate as well. This year, with your help, we hope to raise $18,000. As of today, we have raised $7,632!

It is as easy as 1-2-3! Donate by one of the following ways by Friday, December 12th, 2014 :

Make a contribution with your credit card by going to our Online Toolkit and select Write A Check Campaign after logging in.

Check
Write a payable to “McCall PTA” and note that your donation is associated with the "Write A Check Campaign". Send it in an envelope in your child’s folder.

As an additional incentive, for any donation of $30 or more, you will receive a McCall Garden Flag and stand (while supplies last). Please complete this form with your child’s and teacher's names and include with your donation.

Announcing the World Wear Project at McCall!

McCall PTA is partnering with the World Wear Project to keep millions of pounds of textiles from our landfills. Best of all, McCall PTA receives 15 cents for every pound of donated items!

Simply bring in any of the acceptable items listed below and deposit in the collection box located in the real parking lot of the school.

Items Accepted: Clothing, Shoes, Belts, Purses, Wallets, Hats, Caps, Backpacks, Hard Toys, Stuffed Animals, Pots and Pans
Please do not leave items on the ground outside the bins to maintain the integrity of our school property.
