Little Medical School® brings medicine, science, and the importance of health to children in an entertaining, exciting, and fun way. Children learn and have fun as they dress up like doctors, learn how to use instruments doctors use, and understand how the body works!

In this course, you will learn the essentials of First Aid, how the brain works and why our spines are so important. You will also learn about gas - why we burp, find out why mucus is important, and write prescriptions...just like a real doctor!

PTA General Meeting at 6 pm in the McCall Library. We will be giving PTA updates including Color Run donations results.
2017 Winter Choir Program at 6:30 pm in the McCall Gymnasium.The McCall Choir will be singing holiday songs and they will even invite the audience to sing along with us! Also, Mr. Baca, the principal from Bowman Middle School will be in attendance. He will address the audience afterwards to answer any questions parents may have about middle school.

Two ways to win!

Winning grade gets a free recess!
For each collection sheet turned in, your name will be entered into a drawing to win Colt Cash!
Imagine what one Box Top Superhero can do! One collection sheet (25 box tops) is worth $2.50 and if each student completes one collection sheet, McCall PTA would receive an estimated $1200 to give back to the school.
Tape or glue box tops to the attached collection sheet and once the sheet is full, turn it in to your teacher or the school office. Please ensure to include your name, teacher and grade on the collection sheet.
There is no limit to the number of collection sheets you can turn in.
Additional collection sheets are available in the office or you can print this file, or make copies of the collection sheet that was sent home.

Your children will be receiving a Grade Level Winter Party Flyer in their take home packets this week. Instead of sending home a slip for party donations this year, we are using an online tool called SignupGenius! Please visit the links below to sign up for food and drinks for the winter party! Dear Parents,
There are a few students who have severe food allergies, such as to peanuts (and other nut products), eggs, and milk among other things. We are distributing this information to help you understand the situation and to help foster a safe, worry free semester for these students and his/her parents. If you bring any items into the classroom with any of these ingredients, please be sure that the products have a label on them. This will allow our students with any allergy sensitivity issues to make good choices on party day. The students’ allergies can be life threatening and the student may carry an EPI-Pen at all times. We thank you in advance for your cooperation in helping us maintain a safe and healthy environment for all of our students. December 11-14, 2017 - Secondary Transfer Online Numbering System for 2017-2018 School Year

McCall Parents, if you have a 5th grader who would like to apply for a transfer to a middle school outside of their attendance zone, uou must apply for a transfer to the next feeder school if it falls outside their attendance zone. The On Line Numbering System for SECONDARY transfer requests for the 2018-19 school year will be available beginning December 11th at 6:30 am. Parents must log in beginning December 11th to receive a number to hold a place in line for them on the January 3rd transfer day.

Free Family Movie Night - Elf - Thursday, 12/7/2017 @ 6:30 pm

We will be watching Elf (Rated PG), the 2003 Christmas fantasy comedy.
Includes admission, 1 popcorn, and 1 drink per person!
Drawings will be held for door prizes, including a chance to take the movie home!
**All children must have an adult with them throughout the evening – No drop off, please!**

Holiday Food Drive - Donate Until Friday 12/01/2017

Our Colt Community CONQUERED the Plano Santa’s Canned Food Drive!!!
Thank you ALL who made sure that the shelves will be fully stocked this winter!
Our final count was 4,592 cans! We are so proud of all who participated!
The winning grade is 1st grade with a whopping 1840 items!!!

Help Plano families feel the love this holiday season. McCall Student PTA is heading up the food drive for our campus. We will be sending the donated food to the holiday food drive organized by PISD, Plano Santas and Assistance Center of Collin County. Please bring in non-perishable food items. For example, canned goods, peanut butter, rice, beans, mac-n-cheese, etc. NO GLASS PLEASE!

Are there prizes?!? Yes, there sure are!!!! The grade level that donates the most cans will get to see their teachers dress up as turkeys!!!!! If we collect 3000 items in total as a school, we will have a Movie Day!!! How awesome is that?!! Let’s get this done, Colts!!

About the Food Drive
The PISD works in conjunction with the Assistance Center of Collin County and Plano Santa's to hold the food drives at each school and district facility, and has participated in this effort for over 19 years. This group of local Plano merchants, business men and women, civic and community leaders provide assistance to needy families each year during the holiday season. A month’s worth of food and children’s gifts are provided for more than 500 families each year!
