Thank you Jihan for everything that you do. The McCall PTA appreciates you!

The Volunteer of the Month for December 2018 is Jihan Barwari! To learn more about Jihan and why she chooses to volunteer, please read her responses to the questions below.
- How long have you been volunteering at McCall? I've been volunteering at McCall for over 5 years and been a PTA member for about 4 years.
- Why did you start volunteering at McCall? When I first started volunteering, I had a 2nd grader and over time I had 3 kids at McCall. I had no idea what PTA was until I met Kari, who was the president at the time. Once she explained to me, I became more interested in getting involved and beyond just volunteering. I ended up joining the PTA just being co-chair and getting to know everything until I was comfortable enough to do more.
- What is your favorite part of volunteering? My favorite part about volunteering is seeing the smile on my kids' faces when they see me at school. I love helping others. Knowing I helped a teacher or staff by doing the smallest thing makes me happy. I enjoy every moment of my time spent helping our school.
- What is your favorite way to volunteer (event, project, etc.)? My favorite way to volunteer is doing an event. For example, the multicultural night is my favorite one because it brings everyone of different ethnicities together and share each other's culture. I love the staff, our amazing PTA team, and being part of McCall. Thank you for the nominations and I look forward to more amazing years with you guys and McCall.
