Volunteer of the Month (VOM) - February 2018 - Nicole Queen

The McCall PTA Board has decided to start recognizing a Volunteer of the Month (VOM) for each month of the school year.  A spotlight of the Volunteer of the Month will appear in the newsletter.  If you have nominations for an upcoming Volunteer of the Month please email them to volunteers@mccallpta.org.

The Volunteer of the Month for February 2018 is Nicole Queen! To learn more about Nicole and why she chooses to volunteer, please read her responses to the questions below.

• How long have you been volunteering at McCall? I've been volunteering at McCall since the start of this school year, Aug 2017, when my first kiddo became a Colt! I signed up as a member of the PTA right away and couldn't wait to join the other hard-working Mama's.
• Why did you start volunteering at McCall? My KG Colt means the world to me and McCall has taken care of his Spec Ed needs with more than enough energy and love and there is nothing I won't do to make sure his teachers and helpers there have the support they need from me as a Mother. I will give back in any way I can, whether it's buying fundraiser products, volunteering at class parties or volunteering my skills as a Photographer/Videographer. I do it for him.
• What is your favorite part of volunteering? I have met some pretty awesome Mom's and I know I will develop many more relationships with others at the school that provides support that we need as Mothers! There's nothing that makes passing out cookies or playing games with 20 other kids more fun than doing it with a really fun other Mom who can laugh along with you! Friendships with Mama's are PRICELESS! 
•  What is your favorite way to volunteer (event, project, etc.)? I can't pick a favorite way to volunteer. I am looking forward to helping as a chaperone at the next field trip for sure! I love having fun with the kids during parties and I am truly excited about the upcoming PTA video I'm producing along with PTA President Tricia. I am so happy that I will be able to help provide something that they can use for a few years and will hopefully really represent what PTA does for this school and what parents mean to the support the school needs.  I am so thankful they brought me on board for this project and I'm looking forward to the completion and screening! PTA All the way baby! ​
