Thank you Jodie for everything that you do. The McCall PTA appreciates you!

The Volunteer of the Month for November 2018 is Jodie Kersey! To learn more about Jodie and why she chooses to volunteer, please read her responses to the questions below.
- Tell us a little about yourself. My name is Jodie Kersey and I am the Hospitality Chair for McCall PTA. I have three kiddos; Nolan is in 3rd grade, Eloise is in Kinder and Ronan is in preschool and excited to be at McCall next year. I stay at home with my munchkins and enjoy volunteering at their schools.
- How long have you been volunteering at McCall? Why did you start volunteering at McCall? I have been volunteering at McCall for four years now! When my first kiddo was starting school, I wanted to find a way to be involved at the school and meet other parents! My first year volunteering was helping with the class parties. The last few years I have enjoyed being the Hospitality Chair and planning events for our wonderful teachers, students and their families. Besides class parties and Hospitality, I have also helped with Fall Festival, Silent Auction, Book Fair and basically every event that needs helpers!
- What is your favorite part of volunteering? What is your favorite way to volunteer (event, project, etc.)? I absolutely love being a part of the school. Through volunteering at McCall I have met so many wonderful friends. It means a lot to me to be able to help at my kids' school and feel more connected to them with knowing some things they are doing. If you know me, you know how much I love party planning and creating menus which makes Hospitality the perfect job for me! I enjoy every event I host at McCall, but especially love the events with the students and their families. It melts my heart to see so many parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles and siblings attend our special events and create a wonderful memory with their student. As much as I love hosting events for families, I also love creating events for our McCall staff. Our teachers and staff work hard and I love being able to show our appreciation with treats in the teacher's lounge.
