Astronomy Club
When: Year-Round
Who: Grade 2-5
The Astronomy Club at McCall Elementary, is organized and run by McCall parent volunteers who are excited about our night skies! The association’s activities will depend largely on parental involvement along with their child’s interest. Members will meet twice a month on Friday evenings, alternating indoor meetings with Outdoor star gazing activities. Field trips to Planetariums, observatories and museums in the DFW area are also planned. Please note that there will be no bus service provided. It will be the parent’s responsibility to bring their child to meetings and field trips.

Cub Scout Pack 6601 is a McCall PTA sponsored program for boys in 1st through 5th grade that meets every Wednesday, right after school, for one hour. Make new friends, learn survival skills and make lasting memories! Scouts do games, crafts, sports, STEM, help the community, camp and, most of all, have fun!

Girls on the Run is a physical-activity based positive youth development program that creatively combines running games and discussions that focus on important topics such as dealing with peer pressure, body image, teamwork, bullying and more. Not only do students experience new foods and preparation techniques, but the Young Chefs Academy curriculum is designed to expand learning into the areas of math, science, history and important cognitive skills. Parents love watching their "young chef" grows with confidence and knowledge as they create these recipes at home and develop life-long skills while having FUN!
